Очень даже не плохо, можно с нуля получить базовые знания... досадно то, что есть некие "ошибки", которые вызывают недоумение, например "да" и "нет", в приложении это 係 - hai6 и 唔係 m4 hai6 соответственно, а из других источников "да" - это 是的 - si6 dik1, "нет" - это 不 -bat1; об этом нигде ничего, грустно и отсутствие обновлений... эх!

I find this app to be very user friendly and intuitive. I adjusted some of the settings (sped up the English spoken words, for example) to create the most efficient learning experience for me. I live with a native Cantonese speaker and after one week of using this app, we have designated at least an hour a day to only speak Cantonese. If I could, I would give this six stars! Zeng!

I bought the full versions on iPad. But on my iPhone, it still locked and requires to buy again!!! The data between those two devices are also not synced which is very frustrating and absurd.

Just a very low quality

This app is supposed to record you and put you saying the word or phrase next to the voice teaching you so you can compare. It doesn’t do that though, they say the word and then they say the next word and then they let you record so you’re trying to keep it in your mind the word or phrase you need to record while they’re saying the next word throwing your concentration off then you record while they’re getting ready to go to the next word, and then you record while they’re saying the next word and you never get to hear both side by side. What a crappy app.

Requires more structure & I haven’t found a male voice to speak the Cantonese

Love it so far. I hope to unlock more as I master more lessons.

Easy to use, we use the daily words feature for words that my kids focus on each week. There aren’t many Cantonese learning apps available and this one is a keeper. Would like a few more features so we are eagerly awaiting for an update.

everyone needs to know basic vocabulary to start with. So it’s really helped me. I still have around 100 words left. I think there might be few mistake in some words tone. I typed the correct form. I’ve only tried the first 100 words, but it’s a great way to learn some basic Cantonese! As a native speaker raised over seas, I was not brought up learning to read or write cantonese, but it is my heritage so wanted to learn more than a basic level of conversational fluency.... I really enjoy the flash cards- you can practice speaking and writing the characters! One note, it’s a progression so it’s made for beginners. I’m not sure how advanced it goes, but so far it’s great! Highly recommended. Thanks Nemo for creating this!

This is one of the better ways I have been able to practice my childhood Cantonese. Since moving away from a Chinese community I find my vocab and accent are declining. This app was a good way to freshen up those skills.

Grew up learning parts of the language. Just enough to converse with grandma while parents slaved away 7am-10pm. It's the only Cantonese app I have and so far it hasn't made me want to search for another app to learn from.

This is a good app that lets you hear the words and see the characters. Only about 15 words in, but already recognizing some of the basics (hello, etc. ) in conversation!

Great for refreshing on Cantonese as a native speaker who now lives in the US.

My favorite feature is the voice recording. You can record your voice each time a flash card is shown and then it will play the correct pronunciation and then your pronunciation right after each other so you can compare. The app also works perfectly, without any bugs and has other cool features like keeping track of whether you have reviewed a card a lot.

This was very easy to use

I like this app a lot. It's great for beginners and people like me who want to pick up the language once again. I never learned Cantonese completely as a kid so I only got basic phrases from my parents and spoke back to them in English. I hope to use this program to get accustomed to the sounds and tones and then take on some reading material as well as some sentence building exercises. If I could ask for more, I wish I could build basic sentences with this app or have more words.

This app is perfect for beginners who want to learn the language and even for travelers who can use the search function to effectively communicate. I highly recommend this app. What sets it apart from other apps: the ability to leearn written cantonese alongside the spoken, and the best part is the search function. Just start typing what you want to say and it will search through the language packs in an instant with the spken and written translation.

Very good. Well planned app. Once I get past the basics I won't mind paying for some add ons. Still a great deal!

Excellent app. The basic "play" feature says the word in English, pauses, then says it in Canto. It will play endlessly and slowly work in new words. There are different sections to select depending on vocab/phrases you'd like to learn. The repetition is perfect for me as a native English speaker.

I grew up speaking Cantonese and English in my household. Now that I don't speak Cantonese as much, I'm afraid to say I've forgotten more of the language than I remember. This app is helping me to get the language back. The app is so easy to use and playback is clear and true to the language. It sounds like actual words spoken rather than a computer generated version of language.

There are Cantonese language courses and giving the Jyutping (標準粵語拼音) as its transliteration. Very good!

I love this app. As I do not have time to really dedicate myself for learning a language, I decided to just take 10 minutes per day. This app is perfect for this.

After five years of struggling to find any decent beginner Cantonese learning material this app is a STEAL! It has helped me find my motivation to continue learning Cantonese. It is simple, easy to use, and has exactly what I was looking for to give me a strong basic understanding of the language. The $10 price may seem high, but it is easily worth it. This app is a no brained if you're serious about learning this lovely language. I am very grateful for its creators!

I don't know about the accuracy that's why I gave 4 stars, but I love being able to plug it into my car radio and listen to it while driving.

Excellent resource

Pretty simple application but useful and makes it look easy. Have to pay money to learn anything past basic phrases.
